El encuentro anual PROYECTA SOLAR CHILE LATAM 2018 se realizó el 15 de mayo en Santiago de Chile. La Asociación Chilena de Energía Solar (ACESOL) realiza este Encuentro Gremial Latinoamericano para el Desarrollo Solar y cada año se cuenta con un país invitado.
Chile ha sido el anfitrión de esta reunión desde el año pasado. En 2017, panelistas expertos de Uruguay, el país invitado, compartieron sus experiencias sobre la energía solar. Michelle Bachelet, ex presidenta de Chile y Andrés Rebolledo, el ex ministro de Energía, participaron en el evento. Banco Estado anunció el lanzamiento de una nueva línea de crédito verde para energías renovables para más de 20 mil pequeñas empresas.
En la versión de 2018, Susana Jiménez, Ministra de Energía de Chile, dio las palabras de bienvenida y Argentina fue el país invitado. En el evento, hubo diferentes bloques, específicamente sobre: Generación Distribuida – La experiencia de Chile y Argentina; Desarrollo de sistemas solares térmicos en Chile; Plantas de generación fotovoltaica; Proyectos solares de alto impacto; y Financiamiento – El gran desafío de los proyectos solares. UNEP FI estuvo presente en el panel de Financiamiento a través de Carolina López, quien presentó el contexto internacional como los ODS y el Acuerdo de París sobre Cambio Climático; el trabajo de UNEP FI (cambiando las finanzas para financiar el cambio) y el trabajo y publicaciones relevantes de la iniciativa sobre el financiamiento de energías renovables.

The annual event PROYECTA SOLAR CHILE LATAM 2018 was held on May 15th in Santiago de Chile. The Chilean Association of Solar Energy (ACESOL) holds this Latin American Gremial Meeting for Solar Development and there is one guest country every year.
Chile has been the host of this meeting since last year. In 2017, expert panelists from Uruguay, the invited country, shared their experiences on solar energy. Michelle Bachelet, the former president of Chile and Andrés Rebolledo, the Former Minister of Energy participated in the event. Banco Estado announced the launch of a new green credit line for renewable energies for more than 20 thousand small enterprises.
In the 2018 edition, Susana Jiménez, the Minister of Energy of Chile, gave the welcoming words and Argentina was the invited country. In the event, there weredifferent blocks, specifically on: Distributed Generation – The experience of Chile and Argentina; Development of solar thermal systems in Chile; Photovoltaic generation plants; High impact solar projects; and Financing – The great challenge of solar projects. UNEP FI participated in the Financing panel through Carolina Lopez, who presented the International context such as SDGs and Paris Agreement on Climate Change; UNEP FI’s work (changing finance & financing change) and the initiatives relevant work and publications on renewable energies financing.
