Brief Overview of Organization
Banco de Bogotá is the second largest bank in Colombia by asset size. In its universal banking model, it serves all market segments with high quality standards. It has a presence in more than 12 countries in the region. Its performance in the markets where it operates has made it a reference bank. Banco de Bogotá has been recognized as a Sustainability Yearbook Member for to consecutive years since 2021, for the ASG practices that has implemented.

Our sustainability strategy is part of the business strategy, which enables us to consolidate a sustainable business model that includes economic, environmental and social topics through the management of six strategic fronts: sustainable business, risk management, stakeholder relations, impact on people, innovation and environment.

Why the bank has joined UNEP FI as a member
Banco de Bogotá understands the importance of sustainability matters. Under this framework, Banco de Bogotá has implemented and adhered
different international standards such as: DJSI, SDGs, TCFD, among others. This is the reason why, Banco de Bogotá has decided to adopt United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI). Through this standard the bank could catalyse actions across the sustainability model and align relevant ASG issues with sustainable development. UNEP FI could bring best practices globally accepted to shape the sustainable model at the bank through global environmental, social and governance (ESG) challenges. Our interest is to develop practical guidance and tools to position our businesses for the transition to a sustainable and inclusive economy.
