On July 2nd 2019, the Positive Impact Initiative held two conference calls bringing together the community of UNEP FI members and other stakeholders interested in the work of the Positive Impact Initiative.
Participants discussed practical applications of holistic impact analysis, with examples stemming from:
- applications to bank portfolios, with input from Piraeus Bank, a member of the core group of banks developing the new Principles for Responsible Banking;
- applications to corporate finance and investments (unspecified use of proceeds), with remarks from Deutsche Bank, from the PI Working Group on corporate frameworks;
- product development, corporate strategy and engagement, with perspectives from JCR, the Japanese rating agency, on product issues in Japan (eastern time zone call only).
Participants also heard about the Positive Impact Initiative collaboration within the larger landscape of efforts shaping impact management standards and best practices, and received an update on a legal framework for impact, a joint project of UNEP FI, PRI and the Generation Foundation.
Call recordings are available here (eastern time zones) and here (western time zones).
