As part of its 2009 Work Programme, the NATF explored the role of the financial sector in the financing and/or adoption of green buildings in North America. The report, “Green Buildings and the Finance Sector – An Overview of Financial Institution Involvement in Green Buildings in North America” was launched at an Expert Workshop kindly hosted by BMO Financial Group, in Toronto. This event looked at the current panorama of green buildings financing in North America, with presentations and panel discussions from key players covering the lending, investment and insurance perspectives.
