Talleres Introductorios de Capacitación sobre Análisis de Riesgos Ambientales y Sociales

Cuatro talleres introductorios de capacitación sobre Análisis de Riesgos Ambientales y Sociales (ARAS) se llevaron a cabo de forma interna en BANHPROVI en Tegucigalpa (Honduras) el 11, 12, 13 y 14 de junio de 2019. Contamos con 120 participantes, funcionarios de BANHPROVI, de sus instituciones intermediarias (BANRURAL, LAFISE, Banco de Occidente, BANHCAFE, FICENSA, COACEHL, Cooperativa Arsenault, FUNHDICOMUN, FINSOCIAL, Cooperativa Elga, Cooperativa Taulabe, CACEENP, CACIL, Cooperativa Sagrada Familia, ODEF Financiera, Credi Q, Cooperativa 15 de Septiembre, Fundación COVELO, FUNHDICOMUN, FINSOL) y de la Comisión Nacional de Bancos y Seguros. La participación de un grupo tan heterogéneo hizo que la discusión fuese muy interesante.

Otros dos talleres introductorios de capacitación de ARAS tuvieron lugar exitosamente de forma interna en BANHPROVI el 18 y 19 de marzo de 2019, y se contó con 60 participantes. Dieron las palabras de apertura el Sr. Elvis Rodas, Viceministro de MiAmbiente de Honduras y la Sra. Mayra Roxana Luisa Falck Reyes, Presidenta Ejecutiva de Banhprovi.

Los talleres fueron organizados por UNEP FI y el Proyecto Ecobanking de INCAE Business School, con la colaboración del programa ONU-REDD.

Este recurso fue posible gracias al apoyo de la Comisión Europea y los gobiernos de Dinamarca, Luxemburgo, Noruega, Japón, España y Suiza.

El objetivo de estos eventos es sensibilizar al personal de las instituciones financieras sobre las consecuencias y oportunidades generadas por la identificación y evaluación de los riesgos socioambientales de sus clientes y/o socios de inversión, y a su vez enseñar a los participantes cómo detectar, disminuir y evaluar dichos riesgos a través de herramientas utilizadas por instituciones financieras internacionales.

Introductory Training Workshops on Environmental & Social Risk Analysis

11, 12, 13 & 14 June 2019 | Tegucigalpa, Honduras

Four introductory training workshops on Environmental and Social Risk Analysis (ESRA) were conducted internally at BANHPROVI in Tegucigalpa (Honduras) on June 11^th, 12^th, 13^th and 14^th, 2019. We trained 120 participants, who were the staff of BANHPROVI, of its intermediary institutions (BANRURAL, LAFISE, Banco de Occidente, BANHCAFE, FICENSA, COACEHL, Cooperativa Arsenault, FUNHDICOMUN, FINSOCIAL, Cooperativa Elga, Cooperativa Taulabe, CACEENP, CACIL, Cooperativa Sagrada Familia, ODEF Financial, Credi Q, Cooperativa 15 September, Fundación COVELO, FUNHDICOMUN, FINSOL) and the National Commission of Banks and Insurance. The participation of such a heterogeneous group made the discussion very interesting.

Two other introductory training workshops on Environmental and Social Risk Analysis (ESRA) took place successfully in-house in BANHPROVI on March 18th & 19th, 2019, and 60 professionals participated in the trainings. Mr. Elvis Rodas, Vice-Minister of Environment, and Mrs. Mayra Roxana Luisa Falck Reyes, BANHPROVI Board President, gave the opening remarks.

The workshops were organized by UNEP FI and the Ecobanking Project of INCAE Business School, in collaboration with the UN-REDD Programme.

This resource was made possible through support from the European Commission and the governments of Denmark, Luxembourg, Norway, Japan, Spain and Switzerland.

The purpose of these events is to sensitize the personnel of the financial institutions about the consequences and opportunities generated by the identification and evaluation of the socio-environmental risks of their clients and / or investment partners, and in turn to teach the participants how to detect, reduce and evaluate said risks through tools used by international financial institutions.
