UNEP FI and several signatories participated at the European Commission Resource Efficiency Finance Round Table, held on 15 February in Brussels. The Round table gathered high-level experts from the finance sector to discuss existing barriers to financing resource efficiency, explore possibilities for adapted finance and innovative financial instruments and make recommendations on how finance can facilitate a more efficient use of Earth’s limited resources. Resource efficiency is one of the flagship initiatives of the EU’s Europe 2020 structural economic strategy for growth and jobs. More information here.
