The Energy Efficiency Financial Institutions Group (EEFIG) is a partnership between UN Environment Finance Initiative and the European Commission. It creates an open dialogue and work platform for public and private financial institutions, industry representatives and sector experts to identify the barriers to the long-term financing for energy efficiency and propose policy and market solutions to them.
The second phase of EEFIG draws to a close at the end of 2017, and the European Commission is in consultations with UNEP FI to design plans for the third phase in order to further scale up the European contribution to the global energy efficiency market, which already sees USD 221 of new integrated investment each year. With the webinar, we would like to seek your feedback on the main topics to be covered during the third phase of EEFIG.
A background note for UNEP FI members will be circulated ahead of the webinar.
