24-25 June, 2002 | Budapest, Hungary On June 24th-25th 2002, UNEP FI held the fourth in a series of Regional Outreach events, in Budapest, Hungary. The two-day roundtable dealt with:

• Day 1: The Business Case for Sustainability Performance in the CEIT Financial Sector
• Day 2: Foreign Direct Investment in CEIT – A Sustainability Dynamic

Many leading finance, business, governmental and civil society speakers from the CEIT region joined UNEP FI for this discussion of cutting edge sustainable development issues and the opportunity to network with thought leaders in this critical area. The outcome and recommendations arrived at in Budapest will now be complied with those gained in the previous three UNEP FI Outreach Regional events, and those from the UNEP FI Annual Roundtable (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, March 15-16th, 2002), to provide a pragmatic “regional to global” voice to our presentations at the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in South Africa.
