4-5 November 2008 | Stuttgart, Germany
in partnership with: VfU, German Association for Environmental Protection in Banks and Insurance Companies e.V. The German Association for Environmental Protection in Banks and Insurance Companies (VfU) and UNEP FI are pleased to announce the Roundtable 2008: “Implementing Climate Change Strategies”. The event will take place in Stuttgart, 4-5 November, hosted by Landesbank Baden-Württemberg. The Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change changed perceptions, not only in the political but also in the financial world. Consequently, the title for the Roundtable 2006 was “Climate Change: Opportunities and Risks for the financial sector”, reflecting the worldwide attention to the topic. Since then, climate protection and coping with climate change became mainstream in the financial sector. Almost all financial institutions develop new products, new risk-assessment tools and new communication strategies. This Roundtable presents a forum to assess the progress that has been made up to now and provides a wonderful opportunity to get in touch with a variety of financial sector representatives. The Roundtable emphasizes practical relevance through expert- or practitioner-led workshops, high-level plenary presentations and debates in smaller groups. This event is mostly in German language. Date: 4-5 November 2008
Place: Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, Am Hauptbahnhof 2, 70173 Stuttgart, Forum Zentralgebäude, Germany
