UNEP FI, through its Climate Change Working Group and Asia-Pacific Task Force, convened the first of a series of regional Summits on ‘Financing Low-Carbon Growth’ in emerging economies, in partnership with Cambridge University’s P8 Group of institutional investors. This Summit brought together an exclusive group of leaders and policy makers in the asset management, infrastructure finance and development banking fields in Korea, across Asia and the world, to discuss investment opportunities in tackling climate change. Through presentations, interactive roundtable discussions and breakout sessions, the participants shared their perspectives on the current status in financing climate solution technologies in the region, and what could be done to further expand the investment scale.
