Net-Zero Banking Alliance
The Net-Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA) is the climate mitigation focus of the Principles for Responsible Banking and falls within implementation of a bank’s overarching commitment to the PRB framework. Established in April 2021, the alliance brings together over 100 banks, the majority of which are PRB signatories, which are committed to aligning their lending and investment portfolios with net-zero emissions by 2050, consistent with a 1.5°C ambition. Combining near-term action with accountability, this ambitious commitment sees signatory banks setting an intermediate target for 2030 or sooner, using robust, science-based guidelines. Learn more…
PRB Commitment to Financial Health and Inclusion
A commitment to promote universal financial inclusion and foster a banking sector that supports the financial health of customers. The commitment, which focuses on segments such as unbanked, formerly-banked and underbanked individuals, households, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, will help banks contribute to creating and maintaining inclusive societies, as well as improving customers’ financial health, therefore also contributing to several United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. PRB Biodiversity Community
The Community is a capacity-building program on nature and biodiversity loss, designed to support signatory banks which are starting their journey, taking them from theory to practice in a few short months. The program builds understanding on nature dependencies, risks, impacts and product innovation, help banks understand how to take action and contribute to halting and reversing biodiversity loss.
